EXPERTISE

Holman has over 18 years of litigation and regulatory experience, including in the areas of environmental, Indigenous, municipal and corporate commercial law.  Holman has appeared at all levels of court.  Prior to establishing an independent practice, Holman worked at a major firm with a national focus, as well as a boutique firm serving municipal and Indigenous clients.

SELECT CASES

• Represented the City of Prince Rupert in successful application to remove a Certificate of Pending Litigation filed against lands on Watson Island in Prince Rupert housing the former Skeena pulp mill (Sun Wave Forest Products Ltd. v. City of Prince Rupert, 2012 BCSC 1908);

• Prepared a Supreme Court of Canada factum, which successfully lead to the dismissal of an appellant's application for leave to appeal, with special costs ordered against the appellant.

MORE ABOUT HOLMAN

Holman has a passion for books, arts and culture and has published a number of children's books.  Holman owns a vintage 1979 Vespa P200E scooter that he knows he should part with but can't.  Holman enjoys playing mediocre ice hockey and coaching his son's sports teams.
